What is Criw Cymraeg?

We’re ambassadors for the Welsh Language, here to learn and help promote the use of Welsh at Coed-y-lan. We’re dedicated to learning the Welsh language, understanding it’s history and showing others why it’s important.

Rydyn ni’n llysgennad dros yr Iaith Gymraeg, yma i ddysgu ac i helpu hyrwyddo’r defnydd o’r Gymraeg yng Nghoed-y-lan. Rydyn ni’n ymroddedig i ddysgu’r Gymraeg, deall ei hanes a dangos i eraill pam ei bod hi’n bwysig.

As part of Criw Cymraeg, our responsibilities are to: 

• Promote a Welsh ethos at Coed-y-lan Primary school, encouraging pupils and staff to use Welsh in and out of the classroom.
• Implement Siarter Iaith Cymraeg Campus and gather evidence to achieve our school targets.
• Support organising Welsh culture events such as St David’s Day.
• Introduce and promote the Patrwm yr Wythnos (Pattern of the week)
• Remind others to use simple Welsh phrases in daily interactions.
