Croeso i Dosbarth Helyg/ Welcome to Helyg class!

Welcome to our class page! We are excited to share our learning journey with you. This is a special place where you can find out about what we’re learning, see photos of our classroom adventures, and keep up to date with important news and events.

In our class, we love to explore, ask questions, and learn through being creative.

Autumn Term 2025 – Let’s Celebrate the Threads That Connect Us

Let’s Celebrate the Threads That Connect Us invites learners to discover how beliefs, values, and traditions shape lives across different cultures and communities.  By engaging with major world religions and non-religious worldviews, pupils will encounter a rich variety of practices, celebrations, symbols, and beliefs that highlight both our diversity and the universal values of kindness, respect, fairness, and courage.  This learning fosters empathy, curiosity, and a strong sense of belonging, while celebrating each learner’s unique identity, heritage, and cynefin.  Children will explore the diversity within their school community, reflect on the role of traditions and values in shaping who we are, and recognise the common threads that connect us all. Through this, they will develop an understanding of how to live in and contribute to a fair and inclusive society, promote awareness of the ethnic and cultural diversity within Wales, and respect their rights and the rights of others. Ultimately, this theme aims to inspire learners to become caring, participative citizens of their local, national, and global communities.
