Welcome to Dosbarth Bedw!

Welcome to our class page! We are delighted to have you here and hope you feel a true sense of belonging in our lovely learning environment. In our class, everyone is encouraged to be independent, happy, and confident as they take on exciting and challenging work. We believe each student is special and deserves to feel relaxed, supported, and inspired every day. Here, we make good friends, create joyful memories, and grow together through meaningful learning experiences.

Autumn Term 2025

Let’s celebrate the threads that connect us

Let’s Celebrate the Threads That Connect Us invites learners to discover how beliefs, values, and traditions shape lives across different cultures and communities.  By engaging with major world religions and non-religious worldviews, pupils will encounter a rich variety of practices, celebrations, symbols, and beliefs that highlight both our diversity and the universal values of kindness, respect, fairness, and courage.  This learning fosters empathy, curiosity, and a strong sense of belonging, while celebrating each learner’s unique identity, heritage, and cynefin.  Children will explore the diversity within their school community, reflect on the role of traditions and values in shaping who we are, and recognise the common threads that connect us all. Through this, they will develop an understanding of how to live in and contribute to a fair and inclusive society, promote awareness of the ethnic and cultural diversity within Wales, and respect their rights and the rights of others. Ultimately, this theme aims to inspire learners to become caring, participative citizens of their local, national, and global communities.
