Croeso i Dosbarth Castan/ Welcome to Castan Class!

Step into our classroom and you’ll find a place that’s exciting, colourful, and full of life! Our walls are bursting with beautiful artwork and pictures, and our learning areas are calm, fun, and inviting. It’s a space where we feel safe, happy, and ready to learn every day

Our class is full of helpful, cheerful, artistic, and playful children who love to share, support each other, and enjoy learning together. We have a working noise level that helps us stay focused while still having fun. Whether we’re being creative, solving problems, or just enjoying a good book, our classroom is a friendly and chilled place to be.

Our teachers are the heart of our class. They are fun, kind, energetic, and always positive. They make us laugh with their jokes, help us when we’re hurt, and plan amazing, exciting activities that make learning feel like an adventure. They are wise, smart, and caring, and they always believe in us.

We live by our class values:
🌟 Kindness
🌟 Compassion
🌟 Honesty
🌟 Respect
🌟 Equality
🌟 Encouragement
🌟 Sharing
🌟 Politeness and good manners
🌟 Positivity

Our learning is fantastic, challenging, and full of excitement. We explore new ideas, go on trips, and take on challenges that help us grow. Every day brings something new, and we love discovering the world around us.

We are proud of our class—and we can’t wait to show you what we’re learning next!

Summer Term – Let’s explore Coast and Country

The Coast and Country topic is essential for fostering a sense of place and belonging among pupils. By exploring the diverse landscapes of Wales and beyond, learners gain a sense of cynefin and an appreciation for their local environment and their role in its preservation. This topic enhances their geographical knowledge and respect for the relationship between people and nature, nurturing a generation committed to sustainability.

Coast and Country emphasises individual and collective responsibility toward the environment. It encourages pupils to reflect on their values, consider the impact of their actions, and develop empathy for both people and nature. The unit promotes outdoor learning, highlighting its benefits for physical and mental well-being.
